Dr. Alkesh Chaudhary, founder of M.D. Eye Care and Laser Centre started his independent ophthalmic carrier in 1996 after completing his Post Graduation in Ophthalmology from PGIMS Rohtak and Vitreo-Retinal fellowship from Sankara Nethralya Chennai. He also had a short time but extensive ophthalmic exposure with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Venu Eye Institute and Shroff Charity Eye Hospital.
He has served as an Honorary Consultant with G.M. Modi Hospital, Saket City Hospital, and Moolchand Hospital for more than 10 years, and was a pioneer in introducing the phacoemulsification technique of cataract surgery in these hospitals in December 1996.
Dr. Alkesh Chaudhary founded M.D. Eye Care and Lase Centre in July 2004, dedicated to ‘M’ mom(Maya Rani) and “D” Dad(Diyal Dass) - hence the name "M.D.". His vision has always been to deliver the best ophthalmic services available in the world and moreover to provide the services to even poor people. His core principle remains: "No patient should leave the hospital without treatment due to lack of money - we will always deliver our best.”
Beyond his exceptional surgical skills, Dr. Chaudhary is also academically active. He regularly presents original papers at national and international conferences such as AAO, ESCRS, APAO, AIOS, DOS, UOS, NZOS, MOS, and HOS, and has received numerous awards for his work.

He continues to contribute significantly to the growth of his parent society, the Delhi Ophthalmic Society (DOS), where he has held various office-bearer positions over the years.
